Interior Design of a Modern House in Galižana, Istria

Interior design of a modern family house in Galižana, Istria – a warm, timeless home of clean lines for a young couple, with custom-made furniture, an open-plan layout and light wood detailing as the project’s signature. See how NK Design blends aesthetics, functionality and Mediterranean warmth.

A Timeless Home Built Around the Way You Live

At NK Design, we believe that outstanding interiors are defined not by trends, but by how well they suit the people who live in them. The project of this modern family house in Galižana grew from exactly that idea – to create a timeless space where aesthetics, functionality and build quality merge into a harmonious whole.

The interior was designed for a young couple who wanted a contemporary home with a warm character, clean lines and carefully considered details.

Wood Detailing as the Project’s Signature

A rhythmic repetition of light-toned wood detailing runs through the entire space and becomes the project’s recognisable signature. In one place this element emphasises the architecture of the space and brings the warmth of a natural material; in another it transforms into discreetly integrated, custom-made cabinets and storage systems.

The result is an interior in which nothing is superfluous and every element has its function.

Open-Plan Layout and Mediterranean Light

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area allows for a natural flow of daily life and makes the most of the natural light. The combination of light wood, stone-look ceramics and minimalist details creates an elegant, airy space that radiates contemporary luxury and the Mediterranean warmth so characteristic of life in Istria.

We paid particular attention to custom-made furniture and to lighting design that highlights textures, materials and architectural lines. Every detail was carefully considered so that the interior looks just as beautiful today as it will in ten or twenty years.
