Wine Bar, 84 m², Medulin

The Wine Bar holds a special place within the project — a space dedicated to wine lovers, honoring the rich Istrian tradition that spans from vine cultivation to the production of numerous wine varieties. Designing an exclusive, atmospheric bar inspired by an authentic wine cellar felt both natural and essential to the concept.

The space is defined by a massive curved bar counter with elegant brass accents, surrounded by upholstered bar stools in warm neutral tones.

The ceiling is designed as a smooth stone vault, further emphasized by wooden beams and discreet linear lighting fixtures. Decorative wrought-iron chandeliers form the central focal point, their warm glow creating an intimate and inviting atmosphere.

A fireplace was also incorporated, as no traditional Istrian “konoba” for gatherings would be complete without the warmth and homely comfort it provides.

Colors and materials — wood, stone, and metal — were carefully selected to convey natural authenticity and subtle elegance characteristic of the Istrian setting.

Our goal was to create a space for private gatherings, wine tastings, or relaxed lounge evenings within a Mediterranean environment, preserving the authentic spirit and energy of an old Istrian wine cellar enriched with contemporary refinement.
